We invite you to join us on Monday evening at the Internet Hub for Latin America and the Caribbean, home to LACNIC's headquarters and the Internet Society's regional offices, where you will have the opportunity to meet and interact with fellow event participants, tour the new facilities and enjoy the show by LATASÓNICA.
Dress code: informal.
LATASÓNICA
LATASÓNICA proposes the virtuous transformation of everyday objects into musical instruments using percussion, rhythm and movement, in progressive interaction with the audience. This results in an artistic expression unique to our local environment.
The group is characterized by the use of nontraditional percussion instruments, everyday items such as cans, buckets, plastic tubes, plastic and cardboard tubs, cups, pans, dishes, trowels, bottles, kettles and instruments of their own creation such as tubephones, rainsticks, maracas, guiros and other elements specifically recycled for this purpose.
Latasónica adapts the various rhythms to the type of nontraditional instruments the group uses, seeking to maintain their individual rhythms and sounds, arranging and integrating their own compositions or creating their own versions of other authors' works.
This event is by invitation only. Extra tickets for companions will be available at the registration desk until Sunday 28 October at 6.00 pm. The cost of these tickets is USD 50.
